Jesus In A Bunny Suit April 12, 2009

Let me start off by making it clear that I have no problem with a persons choice of religion. It is what one does with that choice that usually gets under my skin. When some fanatical Christian tries to save my soul or force me to go to church, when they judge me for not being exactly like them, when they assume that just because I am not exactly like them then I am evil and have no faith. This going other ways as well. When moron Atheist’s ruin simple traditions because of the word “God” or when they wont let their children have Christmas because of the word “Christ”. How fucking retarded can you all really be? Don’t answer that, I already know. Faith is very personal. It really should be left that way. Not saying you shouldn’t be proud, but don’t be judgmental, don’t assume, and by all means, don’t ruin simple enjoyment in a child’s life. They only get to be young once. They have the rest of their lives as pathetic adults to do whatever they decide to do or not do. Let them have Halloween, fuck this whole movement by Christians who think Halloween is evil and try to change it into “Harvest” and make it about Jesus instead of it being about kids getting dressed up, having fun, and most importantly collecting candy! How can adults justify in their heads this form of child abuse? You know these kids are a major minority and when they are out at school or with their friends, they hear about presents, candy, searching for eggs, and how the fuck do you think it makes these odd kids out feel? You idiots wonder why they walk into a school and shoot people or grow up and massacre their families and burn their homes to the ground. It’s not violence in films and video games. It’s the abuse of children by parents who do not allow their children to be what they are…..kids. Kids need to be dirty, venture off into the woods, fall and break a bone, trick or treat, break rules, and ultimately learn valuable lessons about the life they are living. As we get older, we become the enemy of our youth. Mortality ensures the children will always win. If that isn’t a great gift from a god, I don’t know what is.  If we want to stand a chance in the battle of the ages, then we need to allow the young to embrace the things that make them youthful so when they become the enemy, they can at the very least be understanding of the situation they are in. Maybe then as adults you could sleep better at night not having to worry about little Timmy slipping in your room and cutting your throat. So this has little to do with Jesus in a bunny suit, but then again, maybe it has everything to do with it. Use your brain people. Happy Easter God damn it!
